An illustration style should fit your story, business, or house style. Of course, I have a specific drawing style. Within that style, I work with different materials. I draw both digitally and with pencil, ink, paint, and paper. A digitally drawn illustration looks a bit cleaner. An illustration with ink and paint has a more painterly effect. I often scan the hand-painted work and edit it digitally to achieve a specific effect.
However I work out an illustration, I always make one or more sketches that I submit to you beforehand.
